Open Auditions for Maid Marian

This year's star studded pantomime at the York Barbican is missing one talented performer, and it could be you.

Producers of Robin Hood And The Babes In The Wood will be holding open auditions on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 June 2017 in York, to cast the role of Maid Marian.

Whether you’re an experienced professional, a trained performer fresh out of college, or just a talented hopeful, producers want to see you at the audition at the York Barbican! The successful auditionee will receive a paid contract to appear in the full run of the show, alongside Shane Lynch, Ben Adams, and the rest of the panto cast.

Audition Information

All auditionees must be available to attend auditions on either Friday 16 or Saturday 17 June 2017 at 10am, and if successful, a recall auditions on Saturday 17 from 2pm.

Auditionees should prepare two songs, one up tempo and one musical theatre, and bring sheet music (no backing tracks).

Recall auditionees will be given a short script and asked to learn it for the recall audition.

The successful auditionee will be informed on Saturday 17th June.

The successful auditionee must be available from 11-31 December 2017, for the full rehearsal period and run of the show.

The total inclusive fee for the contract to play Maid Marian in Robin Hood will be £1,500.

Elements of the audition process will be filmed for promotional purposes. Auditionees will be required to sign a release form on arrival.
